10 states report record increases, pushing U.S. COVID-19 case to a two month high

On Friday new cases of COVID-19 in the United States hit a two-month high with over 58,000 infections of COVID-19 reported. For the fifth day in a row hospitalizations in the Midwest at record levels.

Western states of Wyoming, Montana, and New Mexico reported their biggest single day jumps in cases, as did West Virginia and Oklahoma.

Ten of fifty states reported record single day rises in cases on, including the Midwestern states of Ohio, Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri and Illinois all recorded over 3,000 new cases for a second day – a two-day trend not seen even during the zenith of the previous outbreak in spring.
