Joseph Martino, the Director of Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU), has caused a charge to be laid against a former Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) superintendent in relation to an incident that reportedly occurred in Toronto in February, 2014.
On July 7, 2020, the SIU was contacted by the OPP regarding a complaint of an alleged sexual assault that had occurred against a woman.
As a result of the SIU investigation, William (Bill) Price is facing one count of sexual assault, contrary to s. 271 of the Criminal Code.
Mr. Price is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at 1000 Finch Avenue West in Toronto on March 4th, 2021.
The matter is now before the courts. In consideration of the fair trial interests of the accused, the SIU will make no further comment pertaining to this investigation.
