A teenager has been taken to hospital after falling off a bridge near the 401 in Odessa.
Lennox and Addington OPP stated officers were informed of a “distraught person” at the highway overpass on Old Wilton Road shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday.
Officers reportedly attempted to approach the 18-year old from Odessa, but she had fallen from the bridge.
The individual was taken to hospital with what police described as life-threatening injuries.
The highway was closed for a time but has since been reopened.
The SIU has been notified by the OPP of this incident and has invoked its mandate to take over the case.
