A viral video showing the arrest of a black youth has gathered criticism in Kitchener.
The video shows three officers pinning a 15 year old to the floor, with one officer clearing using force on the back of his neck.
Waterloo Regional Police responded to the video.
“We can confirm that officers responding to the area of Fairview Park Mall around 6PM after receiving a trespassing report from mall security.”
“Upon arrival, all but one male agreed to leave the area. The male who remained began uttering threats towards the police officer. As the officer attempted to speak with the male, the male walked onto Kingsway Drive into lanes of traffic.”
Furthermore Waterloo Regional Police stated the officer was spat at before the male was arrested.
The youth was charged with Assault Police and Cause Disturbance.
Their answer is BS PR…I believe he probably swore at them…i was 15 once…but really?
